This is so funny that you would insult me for no reason when you are 100% wrong. The book House of Evil and the book The Basement both state this, and several news articles as well. It is obvious that you look totally ignorant right now, So I will leave it at that, but it is a shame that someone like you would insult someone who put so much work into this site. Do your research.

It´s incredible what had happened to Sylvia and even more incredible that peopel who had hurt her live a normal life or have lived it. Everybody should know who they were and what they had done. Poor girl, I hope she can live now peaceful and with much love inside - wherever it is.

I really wish Sylvia could read this and realized that
i, as a citizen of Europe that lived thousands of miles away from where she died.. I still care about her. If i ever do visit the US
it will defiantly be my biggest goal to visit your memorial. And put some flowers on your grave for it is as beautiful as yourself.

You never deserved this. Really? Telling you you were seriously pregnant and making you really believe that? You never deserved this. I almost wanna say that i just wished that some gunmen came in and shot you quickly in the head to end your pain quickly instead of dying so slowly in a torture house. I have followed many crimes up, but i never saw one as bad as this. I still cannot believe that you as a person that most likely never had a boyfriend still was called these mean words. We all love you and miss you and for once want to say that we can't wait for the day we die just to see you again and tell you how much you were loved. I really do hope you are resting now together will all the other fallen angels that have died a tragic innocent death that they did not deserve. R.I.P.

Hi again...I meant to add that, regarding Judy Duke, I wouldn't want to even hint at accusing someone of being guilty of a crime as categorically horrific as the Sylvia Likens death. It's not fair to that individual; it's also rather subjective.

Hey, nice little site! I wanted to point out something, as I thought it might be important to mention since you're obviously creating/running this site to educate.

It's worth noting that Judy Duke is not recollecting Sylvia in a negative manner by referring to her as "that naked girl". Since she probably is or, at this point, ought to be considered free from suspect.

The way she refers to Sylvia is profoundly shocking; It's insightful and honest, not cruel or disrespectful. It's also adds a poignancy to the memory that allows the listener/reader to feel the brunt or impact of Sylvia’s plight. Her statement is in quotes as Judy is making a try at stressing just how awful Sylvia’s situation was by being packed up into a degrading moniker. Clearly, Judy attempted to help Sylvia by relating what was happening to her to what she thought was a competent adult.

It’s obvious that accuracy is very important to you as I had read some of your posts about the case. I can assure you that, as a published biographical author, it’s also incredibly important to me to get the facts right and be as responsible as possible when discussing (especially publicly) the past or lives and memories of people who lived or are currently still living.

I am sorry, but I got a very different impression of Judy Duke from that article. People De-humanize people by refusing to say their names. I don't know Judy Duke, but I don't think she feels bad at all for Sylvia. If I had been there and did not do enough to help, I would be sorry for that. She does not show me that in this article. Everyone is welcome to their opinion when they read the article. I presented the article in the way I saw it.
